Part of my plan for the new year is to read more - both for learning, for inspiration and for pleasure. Here are a few books I got for Christmas that are proving to fit the bill.
Equus by Tm Flach - deliciously rich photographs of horses. Every Christmas it seems there is at least one fine art book with horse photography but I think this is my new favourite. It is substantial in content and in size.

Annie Leibovitz at Work - insights into one the mind of one of the greats. You are guaranteed to recognize her work from Vanity Fair. It's also a very enjoyable read giving you the background behind some of her most famous work.
And a book I bought solely because I liked the cover but am now enjoying the read - The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson
