Gift certificates | Christmas ideas

Christmas is quickly approaching, and, if you are like me, there are some people on your list who are very hard to buy for. 

One idea is to order a gift certificate.  They are available in any denomination and can be used towards photo sessions or prints.  They are also a great way to give friends and relatives the opportunity to pick their own images from your photo session.

Gift certificates come packaged and ready to wrap and put under the Christmas tree.

Winter snow sessions

Now that the leaves are almost off the trees, it's time to start thinking about winter. 

The good news is that it's a perfect time for photo sessions. The light is sparkly and the snow makes a fantastic backdrop.  But, since it's hard to predict when we will have snow, if you are interested in a winter session, email me and I will put you on my snow session list. Once we get a nice covering of snow, I will let you know and we can organize the details for your session.

Last call for Father's Day gift certificates!

Father's Day Gift Certificate Sale

Father's Day shopping is never fun!  And. if you are like me, your dad is really hard to buy for.  So I thought I would help you out this year and run a father's day sale on gift certificates.  Not only will you not have to go to the mall, but it's also a great way to get some photos for yourself - and dad of course!  Besides, what dad doesn't want photos of his favourite people and animals?

To order your gift certificates, just drop me a line at kerry@silverliningphoto.ca and we can make the arrangements.  Don't wait too long though - you have less than a month to make sure you've got father's day covered off...It's June 21st this year, in case you forgot!

VOTE! Travel Photo Contest | Oakville Photographer

I recently entered one of my Vancouver & Tofino images in a contest for travel photography held over at mycameraisbiggerthanyours.  The image was accepted into the contest and now voting has begun.  It's worth checking out the images as there's some really great shots.

Did you know you can comment on the blog posts?  I love to hear from people and especially love it when people let me know which of the images I post are their favourites.  It's easy to add your comments.  At the bottom of each post is a little link that says "comments".  Simply click on this and fill in the comment form.  Easy!

Have a question?  You can also use the comment section if you have questions about the images I post or anything else about my photography. 

Want to keep up-to-date?  There are a few ways I have been using to announce new products, session dates, promotions and to announce the very popular model-calls for projects I am working on.  Here's a few ways you can make sure you are getting updates. 

1. Facebook Page
Just a reminder that for all you Facebook junkies, I have a Facebook page for Silver Lining Photography.  Check it out and add yourself as a fan to make it easier to get updates.  Click on the button below to go directly to the Silver Lining Photo Page.

2. Not into Facebook, but still want to get updates?  Drop me an email (kerry@silverliningphoto.ca) and I will add your name to my e-mail list.  I only send out e-mails once every couple of months so there's no need to worry about getting spammed every day. 

3. Subscribe to the blog feed.  This is another way to get blog postings send direct to you and it's actually really easy to do.  Just click on the orange icon which says "subscribe in a reader" then follow the prompts to receive the feed in your favourite reader.  This is a great way to keep up to date on all your blogs as many now have this option.



4. Bookmark the blog!  If all this new technology is still a bit scary, you can also bookmark the site and check in at your leisure.  http://kerryould.typepad.com/

Dog model update

Thanks for all the interest in the call for dog models. I managed to find what I was looking for and I've got a bunch of great dogs lined up. Watch for some sneak peaks over the next couple of months.

In the meantime, here's a photo of Murphy.  I just love the way his pink tongue is trying to lick the snow off his nose. 

Hopefully, this is the last of the snow we'll see this winter!
